WEEK 26-- Seek to FIND the ONE

October 7, 2013

What a great week... I am just so stinkin´happy haha. I seriously am walking in the rain, Book of Mormon in my hand, no one is home, we can´t find our investigators, we´re tired and wet but I just have the biggest smile on my face haha.  I can´t imagine anywhere else I could be or doing something else than right now in this moment.

So! We had an intercambio this week of gringas! Haha it was so much fun :) Our companions left to Lima so we were together for almost 2 whole days! AND we had a full day of work to do! We were working in my area and I just felt so happy. I said ¨Wow, I am really a missionary.” I know I say this a lot but it is real, I have these moments so often of just realizing I am doing the Lord´s work.

We spoke a lot of English, I know probably not the best but it was a nice break :) What I did learn is that I have become complacent with my Spanish. As we visited our members and investigators, a few of them said, “Oh, I will wait until your companion comes back, she can understand.¨ Wow, talk about hit in the heart--Especially when it was our recent converts that I taught with her. But it´s okay :) It was a moment I needed to have to ¨step it up¨ in my Spanish. I have this new desire to learn Spanish FOR my investigators and members. So we´ll see where it goes :)

Conference. Wow. I wish I could write all of my thoughts about the talks but visit with me after my mission, we´ll talk :) One thing is that I invite you to take the challenge of Elder Ballard to SEEK to FIND the ONE from now until Christmas! It is a moment to help someone come unto the fold of Christ and partake of the Atonement. Continue holding fast to the iron rod as troubling times come upon us and our loved ones. We WILL have hard times but we can pass through with the hope and love of our Savior.

I love you all and can´t wait to hear about your experiences of seeking (meaning praying, reading, thinking) to find the one! (EXCLAMATION POINT!)

Les quiero mucho!

Hermana Udy de Peru :)
