I loved Mother´s Day. It was a great day :) Funny note, we didn´t have Relief Society. We walked in, and everyone else walked out. Turns out on Mother´s day, you don´t have Relief Society in Imperial.
The day we spent with Elder Grow was fantastic. I feel like it is a lot to reflect about and to better. They talked about what kind of family we should raise (it made me cringe a bit. :-) ) What kind of mothers AND fathers we should be and the habits we should create for our families. READING THE BOOK OF MORMON 15 MINUTES EVERY DAY AS A FAMILY!! He has 8 kids, all active, sealed in the temple. Something so simple yet so profound!
It was a long day but a rewarding one! I saw a lot of people from Ayacucho! Great memories in Ayaucho!!
My companion is a trooper! She lead the area on Tuesday because I went to Lima with Hermana Cortez and 2 people accepted to be baptized that night!! I have such a great companion. We are extremely focused in finding families! We have a lot of work to do in Imperial. We are going to be able to establish the church through families, we want to have a ward!! It shows progress. You can´t just keep baptizing until you have REAL GROWTH.
Thursday we had service in which we made a guinea pig pen. Haha I loved it. We also made holes for banana trees. We had sopa secca! I loved it. I need to learn how to cook it :)
Saturday we had a baptism! She is great! In her testimony she said how she was very happy to have a change for good in her life! She wants to change! That´s exactly what baptism is... a convenant with God that we are going to repent and change to follow Jesus Christ.
Les quiero! Have a great week!
