WEEK 30 -- Adios y Hola, It's Transfer Week!

November 4, 2013

Wow... what a week!
So, WE HAD ABAPTISM! :) He is the cutest 10 year old there ever was! :) We had his baptism on Wednesday in case one of us was transfered. He is the cutest, he came in his white button up shirt ready to be baptized. He's a little shy but he's been opening up to us more and more. He was EXCITED to be baptized! I can't remember if I was as excited for my baptism as he was! We are working with the rest of his family to help them understand the importance of the Gospel in their family :)

Luckily, we had the baptism Wednesday because Hermana Ramirez was transfered to Lima. :( It was sad to see her go. I cried. Like a "bebe" ("wawa" in quetchua hahaha). I learned a lot from her but most importantly would be how to love the people. She has a desire to serve the people, in so much that she extended her mission to the absolute day possible, December 26th. Yes, she will miss Christmas with her family by one day to serve the Lord! I love her so much. It was sad to see her leave because I will probably never see her again... Yeah, I won't think about it much or I will just get sad again. Haha

BUT, my new companion is Hermana Odar. Can you say powerhouse? She teaches with such clarity and power I can't wait to learn more from her! She is going to finish her mission in 2 transfers. Crazy how time flies as a missionary!

She has had a lot of trials but she is strong. The only member of her family and she is serving a mission, WOW! Also, she is almost 10 years older than me haha and she is great! We got work to do here in Ayacucho!

With her being new here, I tried to show her how great our area is because really, it is! BUT we had a holiday, "dia de los muertos" - I think.  AND NO ONE WAS HOME!!! I think we visited every single house I know in two days. She'll know the area in no time :) Oh well, we got work to do. :)

Love you all! Have a great week! I am trying my hardest to serve the Lord! I love you all and hope to hear from you soon!
:)
