Week 50--No One Came Looking For Them

March 31, 2014

I love being a missionary.

One of the best moments of my entire life happened this week. We went to the 1st General Women's conference-- it was so great! WE made it just in time to sit down before they started singing the opening song. Hermana M (converso reciente, she was baptized a month ago with her son remember?) came just a bit after us and sat next to us. She was taking notes and really attentive trying to learn.

I loved every bit of the conference but the best part was when they showed the video of the sisters helping one another through all the stages of life. I was fighting tears when I looked at Hermana M who started to cry! There was no way I could hold my tears in after seeing her. I thought, ¨This is what a mission is¨. Hermana M is so strong, Satan is working extremely hard on her because he knows her potential! Her other son will be baptized the 19th of April (and her brother, sister-in-law and nephew, depending on if they get an answer, but I KNOW God will answer their prayers, they really want to be baptized!)

Needless to say, I am so happy being a missionary.

I pray that everyone is doing their visiting teaching and home teaching! The reason why a lot of members go less active (NOT inactive, don´t say inactive, it breaks my heart when members say that. They just have let go of the church for awhile) is because they STOPPED going to church and no one came looking for them.

As a missionary, I feel I am learning to become a member of the Church. I´ll be honest, I didn´t take my visiting teaching serious before the misison. I had roommates that were great examples for me and now I can see the importance I have to complete my calling :) I am learning how to look for those who have been gone astray, those that need to find the Gospel, the need to participate in the ward I live in, etc.
The list could go on :)

Les quiero! Tengan una buena semana!
