A great week!
Exciting news! I finished the Book of Mormon for the first time in the mission! I was reading it side by side with my English one so it took me a while (7months) but I finished it! I testify the Book of Mormon (in whichever language you speak) is true. I have read it from cover to cover, finding guidance and comfort in words from prophets in ancient America. I stand with Elder Holland in his testimony that ¨no wicked man could write such a book and no good man would unless he was commanded of God.¨ The promise of read, ponder and pray from Moroni is a powerful promise and we should test it out. It´s not necessary to read the book entirely to have a testimony (it´s like a chocolate cake, I can have a little piece to know it tastes good without eating the entire cake.... (but eventually I probably will eat the entire cake ;) ).
I love my Bible, I love the stories of Jesus Christ and his ministry in Jerusalem but something about the Book of Mormon is just different. It is more clear and has the fullness of the Gospel. Yo sé que el Libro de Mormón es verdadero :)
Other exciting news, I felt my first REAL earthquake this week. Don´t worry, it wasn´t a big one but I actually saw things moving. Kind of cool :)
Okay and a funny story for the week. It has happened twice now and my companion has nearly died laughing all morning haha. Last night, I rolled out of bed into my praying position. Haha I thought it was in the morning. I said ¨Hermana.... Hermana....¨ Waiting for my companion to get up to pray, if not we were going to be late etc etc etc. but she didn´t get up. Then I said with a little bit more force (remember, I am basically asleep haha) ¨Hermana, vamos a orar?¨ then my companion replied, sure if you want to but it´s not morning yet. Haha I looked at my watch then started laughing, it was actually one in the morning. We had a good laugh for abut 5 minutes then went back to sleep haha. This is the second time that it has happened, both times with Hermana A.
Oh the memories :)
It was a great week!
Lots of room for improvement but we are working on it :)
Les quiero!
-Hermana Udy :)
