WEEEEEK 16!!! -- "If you need anything, please WE CALL."

Hola!

Haha. That is the best way to describe this last week. Man, I sure love my mission. We had some funny times while we were preaching the word out here in Leesburg. I'll tell the funny stuff first.  :0)

So Spanish, it's a beautiful thing. As well as sticky notes-- we leave sticky notes on doors all the time. (They've had someone come to church because of a sticky note, so we will continue to use them :) ) Lately, I have been writing them to get some practice in writing. Hermana Shelton usually tells me what to write and I do what she says. We always say, “ if you need anything, please call us.” But instead of writing "llamenos", I would write "we call". I always thought it was really weird but I never questioned Hermana Shelton. Haha We had a good laugh the other day when we discovered my error and thinking of how many sticky notes I have written saying "If you need anything, please we call."

I also told someone I am going to have 14 kids. Haha  Hnas Shelton and Haubner got a good laugh out of that imagining me pregnant and kids running around with my big van. It was funny :) Don't worry, I only want 7 ;)

We were calling to confirm our baptism with the bishopric counselor and I had already left a message on Brother Coleman's phone and they said to try the other counselor. Without even noticing, I called Brother Coleman right back. He picked up and we were having a conversation when in the middle he said I should call Brother Gold because he will be the one presiding. Haha Hna Ward could not stop laughing! I was trying to contain my composure, mostly because Hna Ward thought it was so funny. O h man, good times! :)

There was a lot more funny moments but I'll get to the great stuff :)

WE HAD A BAPTISM!! :) He's 8, and his mom is a recent convert. :) He's so great!  He was one of the first people I taught as a missionary so it's been fun getting to know him :) The baptism as pretty small but the Spirit was really strong. I gave a talk (yikes!) on baptism!  It was a great opportunity because I was thinking of the day I was baptized and how many blessings I have received from that special day. Thankfully, most of the attendees spoke "spanglish" and I could ask them a word to say in Spanish. (I know. I need to do better!) It was a great experience and I can't wait to help others enter into the waters of baptism. :)

This week has been a busy, great week! We had pday, zone/district meetings, interviews with President Riggs, and a baptism! I'm enjoying missionary work more and more. :) I'm not as timid, especially when I speak in Spanish. It's a beautiful blessing because I think I would be REALLY scared to teach in English :)

I love being a missionary and I am so grateful to be here! Everyone says "You're still here?" Yes, I'm still here :) Peru will come. For now, I'll enjoy the journey and work hard here in Leesburg :) Love you!
